Another highly-respected brand from up north that really doesn't have much distribution in the States, as far as I know. In fact, I bought this bottle at the Duty Free shop in Toronto airport, where it was immediately wrapped up like a mummy in bubble wrap a good three inches thick. You simply cannot bring liquor aboard planes anymore like our parents used to do. Does anybody remember that episode of “Bewitched” when Darrin and Larry Tate carry on a couple bottles of Chivas Regal onto a Pan Am flight and end up getting soused with the pilot? Samantha ends up having to save everyone by landing the plane with her magic powers! Anyway, Gibson’s is buttery smooth and enticingly sweet--a winner through and through. Good luck finding it, though!
